MGI offers efficient and reliable RNA extraction solution from SARS-CoV-2 samples with the MGIEasy Nucleic Acid Extraction Kits and the high throughput, MGISP-960 automated sample preparation system. This workflow solution for viral RNA extraction is compatible with samples collected from throat (oropharyngeal) swabs, nasopharyngeal swabs, anterior nasal swabs, mid-turbinate nasal swabs, nasal washes, nasal aspirates and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF).

The workflow can be further automated using the MGISTP-7000 robotic capper/decapper, capable of scanning and preparing 192 samples from transport tubes in less than 40 minutes.

MGISP-960RS HTP Automated Extraction System

The MGISP-960RS is a high-throughput automated extraction and liquid handling workstation, which can be used with MGIEasy Nucleic Acid Extraction Kits to perform 96 viral nucleic acid extractions within one hour. Additionally, it can prepare the RT-PCR mixture following extraction.

A versatile automated sample transfer system capable of processing up to 6,000 samples per day, the MGISTP-7000 integrates tube decapping, recapping, barcode identification, and automated liquid transfer. This system can also pool VTM samples and provide accessioning, while significantly reducing the number of technicians required to scale-up a laboratory.
